Above is a diagram of what you would see if you click on the 5x Beta Link on a horses page.

Sires are in the pale blue squares.  Dams are in the pale pink squares.

First generation sires are in the first column = Forty Niner  if a chef-de-race they get 16 points.

Second generation sires are in the second column = Mr. Prospector & Dynaformer  if a chef-de-race they get 8 points each.

Third generation are in the third column if a chef-de-race they get  4 points each.

Fourth generation are in the fourth column if they are a chef-de-race they get  2 points each.

If the horse is a scratch breeding there will only be 7 fourth  generation sires

Because this horse has been bred to an existing mare or a retired one it has 8  fourth generation sires.

Sires known as chef's have been given aptitudinal designations :- B=Brilliant , I=Intermediate , C=Classic , S=Solid , P=Professional.

(click on the chef-de-race to get list of their aptitudes)

Below is a grid chart of the profile calculation

 (note that if a sire has 2 aptitudes divide his points into the 2 aptitudes)

Profile :- B=10 , I=3 , C=18 , S=0 , P=3   Total Points = 34

C.D. = 0.50    formula is :- [(Bril x 2) + Int] - [Solid + (Prof x 2)] / total points

[(10 x 2) +3] - [0 + (3 x 2)] / 34 = (23 - 6) / 34 = 17 / 34 = 0.50

D.I. = 1.83    formula is :-  [(Bril + Int + (Classic/2)]  /  [(Classic/2) + Solid + Prof]

[(10 + 3 + (18/2)]  /  [(18/2) + 0 + 3] = [(13 + 9) / (9 + 3)] = 22 / 12 = 1.83

(The 1.83333333 is rounded to 2 decimal places.)
