Including Five Different Ways to
Win!
How it Works
Each Saturday, you will select ONE horse from any ONE race from the track
that is posted on the Showvivor thread in an effort to compete in the categories
listed below. You can go for one or all the categories, but you only get one
selection.
The 5 Categories
- Show Streak (1000 Credits)
The player that has the longest "show streak" at the end of the meet
will win the grand prize of 500 Credits. A "show streak" is making
consecutive selections that finish in first, second, or third. Note: If you
fail to make a selection your streak is over and must start from the
beginning.
- Win Streak (400 Credits)
The player that has the longest "win streak" at the end of the meet
will win 400 Credits. A "win streak" is making consecutive selections that
finish in first. Note: If you fail to make a selection your streak is over
and must start from the beginning.
- Total Wins (200 Credits)
At the end of the meet the top player with the most total wins will
win 200 Credits.
- Total Places (200 Credits)
At the end of the meet the top player with the most total places
will win 200 Credits.
- Win Payout (500 Credits)
At the end of the meet the top player with the highest win payout
will win 500 Credits. (Just like Handicapper)How To Play
Every week the handicapper can select one horse from any one race
from track selected on Saturday's card that has at least 8 entries.
Cutoff for entries is 10:00 a.m. game time Saturday Morning. There are 5
different ways to win between January 4 through June 28:
- Longest Show Streak - Correctly select a horse
to finish no worse than third on consecutive Saturdays. If the
handicapper's selection does not finish first, second, or third the
handicapper can start a new streak on the next Saturday. If the
handicapper fails to make a selection, the streak is over and must
start from the beginning.
- Longest Win Streak - Correctly select a horse
to win on consecutive live race days. If the entrant's selection
does not finish first, a new streak can be started on the next
Saturday. If the entrant fails to make a selection, the streak is
over and must start from the beginning.
- Most Total Wins - Select the most winners
between the dates listed above.
- Most Total Places - Select the most places
between the dates listed above. (Horses that finish second only)
- Highest Win Payout - The entrant that selects
the horse with the highest win payout between the dates listed
above.
Handicappers can win multiple levels.
Tiebreakers
In the event that there is a tie
among the handicappers on any of the five categories after Saturday, June 28 the
following tiebreaker will be instituted:
- Longest Show Streak - The first tiebreaker will be the
most win selections for the duration. The second tiebreaker will be the most
place selections.
- Longest Win Streak - The first tiebreaker will be the
most win selections. The second tiebreaker will be the most place
selections.
- Total Wins - The first tiebreaker will be the most
place selections. The second tiebreaker will be the most show selections.
- Total Places - The first tiebreaker will be the most
win selections. The second tiebreaker will be the most show selections.
- Highest Win Payout - There is no tiebreaker for this
level. If there are multiple winners, those entrants will split the prize
money evenly.
